Many customers use Swiss Biolabs alongside other treatments. Here's how to layer them safely.
Minoxidil (Rogaine, generic)
Safe to combine. Our suggested order:
- Apply minoxidil and let it dry fully (about 30 minutes)
- Then apply Root Activator Spray or Roll-On Serum on top
- Schedule GLOW micro-infusions on a day you're not applying minoxidil, ideally 24 hours apart
Finasteride or dutasteride (oral)
Safe to combine. These work internally, ours work topically. No interaction concerns.
Biotin, collagen, or hair supplements
Safe to combine. Supplements and Swiss Biolabs work on different mechanisms (internal nutrition vs topical activation).
Prescription shampoos (ketoconazole, selenium sulfide)
Use on alternating days. Prescription shampoos are stronger and can dry the scalp — space them from Root Activator days.
Scalp treatments and procedures
- PRP (platelet-rich plasma): wait at least 5 days after a PRP session before your next GLOW micro-infusion
- Scalp micropigmentation (SMP): no restrictions
- Hair transplant surgery: follow your surgeon's protocol; resume GLOW micro-infusions only after they clear you (usually 2–4 weeks post-op)
When to ask a doctor
If you're on a prescription medication or have a medical condition affecting your scalp, check with your healthcare provider before starting — especially if you have active scalp dermatitis, psoriasis flares, or open wounds.
